Sun Bathing

Monday Rylee had her first check up. She weighed in at 6 lbs 10 oz, within the normal range for weight loss. But she looked a little jaundice, so she had to have her heel poked. Her level was 13, doctors aren't usually concerned unless it's above 20. But to be on the safe side, her doctor wanted to see her the next day for another test to make sure it wasn't on the way up. Until then, the prescription was lots of sun light!
As you can see, she loved sun bathing! And the test yesterday came back at 11.5, on the down slope.

First Sponge Bath

Sunday, Rylee had her first sponge bath. She didn't really enjoy it much..
This picture pretty much sums it up!
But, she did like having the lotion put on! A girl after my own heart.
Look at all of that hair and that skinny little bum!
She calmed down so quickly, I think she liked at least feeling clean!

Me at 5:00 am....just loving, eh?! The hospital didn't actually start anything until 8:00... they told us it was a very busy night. I'll update you on the full labor and delivery story when I have more time. Until then, here's pictures of our sweet baby girl...

Rylee was born at 12:42 p.m. she weighed 7 lbs 1 oz and measured 19 inches long

Delivery Day Set!

Today I had my doctors appointment. He walked into the room and said "let's have a baby this week!" So he called into the hospital and got us an appointment for 5:00 a.m. tomorrow morning! We are soo excited! But I've decided to cheat and post my picture tonight instead of in all my glory at 4:30 a.m. tomorrow. Todd swears that I look smaller with this baby than Marcella, but I'm not so sure. He does live with me and I'm sure he wants to keep me in a good mood now that I'm at the end of all of this. Keep us in your thoughts and prayers! We'll be posting pictures of our new baby girl very soon!

Quick update

Happy 4th of July! Sorry I haven't updated my blog...no fantastic excuse, just plain busy. Here are the girls for the 4th of July! We just spent the morning and afternoon at our community pool and then went to Dylans birthday bar-b-q. But the girls had so much fun. How do you like Marcella's hair!?!! It's very curly and getting longer. When it's fro-ed out, we call it "Papa Hugh hair". My grandfather had the whitest, curliest hair that was worn very poofy.
Audrey turned the big 5 on June 29th. She had been looking forward to this birthday since November when Olivia and Emily had their birthdays.
I somehow talked Audrey into a Polly Pocket cake. She at first requested yet another Tinker Bell cake. I've already done two of those for her last 2 birthdays...I was fresh out of new Tink ideas!!

Well, we'll see how everything goes, but I'm still pregnant! My doctor told me last Thursday that if I didn't go into labor on my own this week that he wanted to see me Wednesday. Yeah right, like I EVER go early!! So, I'll have my doctor appointment this Wednesday and he said that they would most likely induce Thursday. Wish me luck and I'll post pictures of our new baby girl as soon as I can!
