Trick or Treat!

 Happy Halloween!
We had beautiful weather in Liberty this year for trick or treat night.
And the girls loved every minute of it!
Emily was the lucky girl to pick a costume for me to sew this year.  She at first wanted to be Hermoine Granger from Harry Potter, but after looking through the pattern books decided on a vampire.
For some reason she wouldn't let me paint her face white or give her sunken eyes, only red lips.
This is her spooky pose.  I was sewing this cloak until about 45 minutes before we left, and I still need to hem the bottom!  Oh well, it really was a lot of fun to sew and makes me want to take on another sewing challenge.
Audrey was Lucy from The Chronicles of Narnia for our Ward Trunk or Treat but last minute decided to be an Indian for Halloween night.  This is her interpretation of an Indian pose (where did this come from!).
This is the first year Marcella actually chose NOT to be a princess (me forcing her to be a pumpkin and bunny at age 1 and 2 doesn't count).  She waffled pretty badly between being Bell from Beauty and the Beast and this cute black cat, but the cat won.
I think it was the head band ears and whiskers that did the trick!

Rylee Jo was, of course, a princess.  This is her princess pose.  What a goof ball!
Rylee didn't trick or treat quite as long as our other candy mongers.  But she had fun coming home to watch a movie and eat candy while she waited for her sisters to finish.  Before I actually realized what she was doing, she had eaten about a third of her candy and she wanted more!
Meg was our pumpkin this year...  Isn't she so cute?!
Olivia wore my old prison costume from high school.  It still looks dang good, huh?  The bruised eye and stitches were my idea.  She had lots of people ask her what she was doing time for, so it was fun for her to make things up as she went through the night.

Halloween

Olivia, Rylee, Marcella, Audrey and Emily
Happy Halloween!  Everyone was sooo excited to dress up this year.  Let me tell you, getting 5 girls dressed and makeup-fied is quite the ordeal!

Marcella is our Pop Star.  Make sure you say Pop Star, not Rock Star.  She will be sure to correct you!

Emily is our Angel... Fallen straight from Heaven.

Olivia decided to be an Indian.  Olivia's Indian costume is my first official sewing project that I completed all on my own (If you don't count a couple of emergency phone calls to my mother).

Audrey wanted to be a Witch again.  But she specifically did NOT want a green face!

Rylee was our Little Pumpkin.  She didn't last long trick or treating.  Last year we packed her in a wagon, but this year she graduated to walking.  Living at the top of a hill means lots of up and down stairs to front doors.  She still had fun and loved that everyone kept giving her candy.

Halloween

Audrey started our Halloween with her first lost tooth! She was soooo excited to finally loose it. She couldn't wait to go to bed so that the tooth fairy could visit.

My girls looked so festive in their Halloween shirts!

Dressed up! Audrey wanted to be a GREEN witch, Emily was her black cat, Marcella finally decided on Sleeping Beauty for the second year in a row, Olivia was Susan from Narnia. She even carried a pretend bow and arrow. Rylee was a Chick-fil-a cow and their cousin Mikey was Yoda. Too cute!

Rylee was so stinkin' cute!
But her favorite part of Halloween was riding in the wagon with her cousin and being given candy!

Trick or Treating

This year Aunt Laura and our neighbor Tori and her Mom came trick or treating with us. We had so much fun walking around our new neighborhood! Marcella was so funny! At first she didn't quite get the whole idea of it, but she sure caught on quick! By about the 3rd or 4th house she was jumping out of the wagon and running to the next door as quick as her little legs would go. She even tried her best to say trick or treat and she always followed her sisters examples and said thank you!
Emily decided to be Sleeping Beauty for trick or treat night. She didn't like how itchy the clown wig was. Thank goodness for good weather. They had been predicting rain, but it turned out to be clear and cold. Everyone stayed pretty warm, just little hands got cold.
Trick or Treat! My costume was an orange sweater and STRAIGHT hair!
Marcella sure did button up once we sat her down in her highchair with a lollipop and Twix bar!
Olivia and Tori counting out their candy. Tori counted over 150 pieces and Olivia organized and wrote down how much of everything she got. She's not her accountant father's daughter! =)
Emily just sorted all of her candy. She loved putting everything in the right piles. It sure was a good haul this year!

Gagon Halloween Party

It's Trick-or-Treating Time!Marcella, Payton, Preston, Audrey, Tori, Dylan, Emily, Olivia, and Austin the Skunk

Maxine hosted her annual Halloween party Saturday, October 27th. All the cousins had so much fun! The newest game was guess what body part's in the bag (spagetti for veins, peeled grapes for eyes, cantalope pieces for heart/kidneys, etc.) There'were some pretty funny faces! I wish I could've caught them with my camera. Instead I got a great picture of Emily dressed up as a clown, but like usual, hamming it up for everyone.
Marcella made the cutest Bunny! She loves wearing her costume. Saturday morning she actually took off her pajamas all by herself and was trying to put on her costume!
Olivia made the sweetest angel! Todd kept teasing her that it was the perfect costume since she's far from angelic!
Audrey wanted to be, as she's says, 'a wedding girl'. I tried to talk her into putting a long-sleeved t-shirt under her revealing gown, but she wouldn't have anything to do with it.
